Gardener (4 years fixed term contract, possibility of extension)

As a member of the embassy’s support team, the gardener will take care of the gardens in the embassy premises and

help with other tasks as assigned by the office. Gardener should help with diligence and commitment to make the work of the embassy support team effective.

Gardener will work five days a week at the Embassy premises and perform the following tasks:

Caring for all plants in the embassy premises, buildings and gardens; Keeping the garden and surrounding area

and outside the main gate clean; planting seasonal flowers in the garden; Developing and manage nurseries as required; office

Regular cleaning of the surrounding drains or by the concerned person; Maintaining the landscape aesthetic of the

Embassy and offering new ideas whenever possible; Caring for and developing vegetable gardens and preparing

compost for gardens from available plants and kitchen waste; Assist in transporting equipment within the office

premises and complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Technical Competence:

The Minimum educational qualification of the candidate should be SLC/SEE; Minimum 3 years experience as a gardener; Proven knowledge

of plants and flowers; Able to speak and write in simple English and Nepali languages; Preference is given to those who are trained in

related subjects from a recognized institute.

Social Competence:

well-spoken and friendly; Able to fulfill his responsibilities independently and perform assigned tasks; Able to work together and contribute positively to the team he is involved in; Awareness of gender and social diversity;

Able to work with multi-ethnic teams.
