We are pleased to inform you that all applicants are invited to apply for the EMBL CPP Visitor Fellowships (for external PhDs and postdocs) 2023 short-term fellowships to enable junior-level scientific visitors (active PhD/postdoc fellows) to carry out experimental projects with an EMBL host research group. The EMBL CPP Visitor Fellowships are open to internationals all around the world and National Students.
The fellowships are for those who have accomplished an external Ph.D. and postdoc degree and are encouraged to apply. These CPP fellowships are administered by the Scientific Visitor Program Office to provide logistical and organizational support to successful awardees before and during their stay.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be currently employed as a Ph.D. or must be postdoctoral researchers at a recognized institution of research or education anywhere in the world.
- Applicants must be employed and return to their home country after completing the project at EMBL.

- There are no restrictions on age, gender, nationality, scientific background or current location to apply.
- Visitors to EMBL core facilities should apply for Christian Bolin Fellowships to cover such visits as these fellowships are designed to host you in EMBL research groups.
- Applicants for EMBL CPP Visiting Fellowships stay for a minimum of one month and a maximum of six months.
- While first-time visitors to EMBL research teams will be given preference, this is not an exclusion criterion and candidates’ previous visits to EMBL should be clearly highlighted in their application.
- Applications are open throughout the year with quarterly deadlines on 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December each.
- Fellowships that are not taken up within 6 months of the award date through travel to an EMBL host group. Such candidates will be invited to submit a fresh application with updated information.
