Social Awareness and Development Academy (SAADA Nepal) is a Nepali Non-Governmental, Non-profit Leading NGO of the Karnali Region. Thematic Area of SAADA Nepal:-Child Rights and Equality, Child Protection, Education and Sponsorship, Climate change and Resilience, Governance and Human Rights, Child Rights Governance, Gender Equity and Social Inclusion, Health and Nutrition, Advocacy, Research and Planning, Emergency Response and Humanitarian Assistance, Economic Development, Peace Building and Justice, Water and  Sanitation, Employment and Social  Behaviour Change, Food Security, and  Livelihood. It has been implementing various projects/programs with the funding support of different partner organizations.

In partnership with Plan International, SAADA Nepal is going to implement the Colors Project will be Implemented in Raskot Municipality and Sanni Triveni rural municipality of Kalikot district.

The duration of the project is 3 years. The key goal of the project is the Promotion and protection of the Human Rights of LGBTQIQ+ children, adolescents and youths (CAY)

SAADA- Nepal Kalikot is seeking suitable, qualified, dynamic, and highly motivated Nepali citizens for the following full-time positions: 

1. Position Description: Project Coordinator (1 Person)

Report to: Executive Director/Plan International Nepal Regional office Surkeht.

Salary and Benefits: As per the organization’s norm commensurate with the project agreement

Duty Station: Head Office Manma Kalikot (frequently movement in project areas) 

Academic Qualification and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree (master’s Degree preferred) in social science, Law, education or related subjects with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in managing and implementing projects with 3 years of intensive experience with multiple sectoral components Human rights, Child Rights, LGBTIQ, Inclusive education, ECD, protection, youth empowerment, SRHR, WASH, DRR, Health and nutrition) in any field, as well as a proven ability to manage risks and promote governance to contribute to strategic outcomes.

Good knowledge of project and stakeholder management, project scope management and conflict management, team mobilization, and financial operations Facilitation, influencing and networking Knowledge of project monitoring, Proposal writing skills, data collection and analysis, and report writing. innovative learning and sharing skills, literature review, research and Communication in English and Nepali (local language added value).

Key Skills and Knowledge Required: Have good academic knowledge and technical experience in Under Colors Project management and financial management experience; report, prepare proposals and case studies; writing; communication; facilitation; and negotiation skills very good skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting in English and Nepali. Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Major Responsibilities 

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for leading project management and coordination with stakeholders. The incumbent will be responsible for mobilizing the team and supporting the government in achieving project goals and results. The focus will be capacity building of target groups, changing social norms and system strengthening in the project area for ensuring the rights of children, adolescents, girls and young women whereby they live and lead their lives with dignity in development and humanitarian settings, proposal writing, report writing in English and Nepali language, facilitation, coordination and collaboration, other staff capacity building, lobby and advocacy-policy budget and program advocacy, Networking. 

Coordination, Networking, and Partnership Development

  • Maintain active relationships and partnerships with the Government, NGOs, Donors, and other civil society organizations to enhance collaboration, resource mobilization, and/or share ideas and to influence agenda and priority setting.
  • Liaise, coordinate, build, and make partnership relationships with project partners along with beneficiaries to ensure the implementation of project activities.
  • Establish a good rapport with other staff of SAADA Nepal.

2. Position: Admin and Finance officer  ( 1 Person)

Duty Station: Head Office Manma Kalikot (frequently movement in project areas) 

Report to: Project Coordinator /finance coordinator/ Plan International Nepal Regional Office Surkhet.

Minimum Qualification and Experience 

Bachelor’s Degree of Commerce, Business Studies or Equivalent Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent subjects is preferred. Major Responsibilities 

The Admin & Finance officer will be responsible for managing finance, administrative, human resources, operation, and monitoring as well as ensuring financial compliance with Plan Nepal regulations and the organization’s policy, budget control, and financial reporting. Lead administrative, financial and procurement management for the project, establish and follow a strong system of payment procedure, funds control, cash management, and internal controls, and ensure accounting standards and conditions included in the grant. Prepare and implement charts of accounts, reporting templates, reporting from software and internal controls systems, prepare and submit financial reports, and maintain good communication, networking and coordination with stakeholders. The Admin & Finance officer will work full-time on the project.

3. Position: Field Supervisor-2 (Sanni Triveni-1, Rajkot Municipality- 1 Person) 

Duty Station: Rajkot Municipality & Sanni Tirbeni Rural Municipality  (Project  Area) 

Report to: Project Coordinator.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

The Proficiency Certificate level 10+2 Passed (bachelor’s Degree female preferred) in any subject with a minimum of 2 years work experience of bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work experience of Intermediate passed in community mobilization related to child, youth, girls engagement and disaster risk reduction. Demonstrate experience in conducting risk assessments and facilitating community meetings and trainings.

Major Responsibility: 

  • Interaction among SMC, Teachers and students (including LGBTIQ children/youth )to promote LGBTI-friendly/sensitive behaviours in Schools.
  • Community Mobilizer is responsible for community group/formation.
  • social mobilization, conducting community risk assessment process, facilitating community-level capacity building interventions, data collection, meeting with the local government officials, and coordinating and networking with other development partners working in the areas. 
  • School-level functional complaints hearing mechanism by establishing complaint boxes.
  • Coordination meetings among concerned Government line agencies at the local level
  • Monthly Report preparation 
  • Successfully Story Collection
