The Fellowship program is fully funded. It covers all the expenses including a monthly stipend, travel allowance and others. It will pay a monthly stipend of up to US$42,460 annually. Fellowships are available under 8 top universities in Hong Kong offering financial benefits. There is no application fee at the time of application. Benefits of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme 2023/2024

• Fellowship programs provide a monthly stipend of up to US$42,460 annually for up to three years.

• Students will receive a travel allowance of HK$13,800 annually for conferences and research-related transfers.

• For awardees requiring more than three years to accomplish their Ph.D. degree, additional support may be provided by selected universities. For details, please contact the respective universities directly.

Eligibility Criteria for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme 2023/2024

• National and International Fellows from around the world are eligible to apply for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship.

• Applications must be new full-time PhD students.

• Candidates must prove that they have completed their academic education through the English language.

• If the candidate is not a new Ph.D. student, they can apply for this fellowship only if they can gain admission to other new full-time PhD programs.

• You must demonstrate proficiency in English if your prior medium of education is not English.
