Job in Save the Children For Finance Assistant

Save the Children is seeking a Trainee: Campaigns and Communications, for an anticipated 5-year USAID/Nepal Better Health Activity. This activity will support the three tiers of government to improve the health system, focusing on governance, demand-side barriers and community accountability, and quality of health care at the facility and community level.

The activity will improve the quality of care for maternal, newborn, and family planning services, and will also strengthen the readiness of health facilities and the health system for possible future health emergencies.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Campaigns and Communications trainee will work closely with the Advocacy, Campaigns, Communications and Media (ACCM) team of Save the Children Nepal and be a part of various child and youth led campaign and communications design process. With guidance and supervision from the Senior Coordinator for Campaigns and External Relations, the trainee will work closely with child and youth groups and support in developing social and behavior change campaigns, and also engage in documentation of change stories, support logistic for key events, and be a part of innovative communications and campaigns supporting child and youth campaigners throughout the country.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Campaign Support:

  • Work closely with the Senior Coordinator for Campaigns and Public Engagement to develop and implement effective campaign and outreach engagement activities.
  • Maintain database of child and youth campaigners, as a part of campaign knowledge management.

Logistics and Coordination:

  • Provide logistical support for key campaign events and activities.
  • Support the logistics, including venue selection, participant registration, and on-site coordination for campaigns and public engagement.
  • Assist in conducting post-event evaluations to assess the success of campaigns and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Job in Save the Children For Finance Assistant

Networking and alliance building:

  • Support with promoting campaign objectives and goals with diverse youth and child networks and groups, and diversify engagement base for flagship and ongoing campaigns.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Gather updates on campaign activities from the different working areas to ensure smooth campaign implementation.
  • Documentation of case studies, advocacy success, learning and challenges.

Media monitoring:

Support with media monitoring and help ACCM team to understand child rights issues to support ongoing campaigns and advocacy.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, including social work, environment science, development studies, legal studies, media and communications and other social sciences.
  • Good understanding of child and youth issues
  • Digital communications knowledge and understanding of innovative campaigns
  • Creative writing skills in both Nepali and English
  • Good knowledge on gender, diversity and inclusion issues.
